第3课时 Listening A & B

一、教学内容:两篇听力理解为主的材料。

二、教学目标:

1.通过听介绍艾菲尔铁塔与曼谷的文段,帮助学生理解并获取必要的具体信息,培养学生提取关键信息点的能力。

2.通过文化背景知识的输入,拓展学生的文化视野与知识面,并渗透跨文化交际策略。

三、教学环节设计:

1.Revision—TaIk bar

Let the Ss to talk about the cities of the USA that they would like to visit.(They were asked to find more information about it the day before.)

2.Leading—in

(1)Ask:What’s the symbol of the USA?

Do you know the symbol of France?

Do you know how tall the Eiffel Tower is? When was it built?

Say:If you don’t know, it doesn’t matter.After listening to this recording,you’ll learn more about it.

(2)Say:Now Sally is visiting……Listen to the recording and complete the notes.

(3)Study tips:How to complete the notes while listening?

3.Listening A

(1)Play the recording for the Ss to listen and complete the notes.

(2)Play the recording again for the Ss to listen and check their answers.

(3)Deal with some new words and phrases.

4.Culture Bar(Optional)

Show the picture of the Arch of Triumph(凯旋门).And get the Ss to read a short passage about it.

5.Leading—in

(1)Ask:After visiting Europe for a few days,would you like to turn to visit Asia? Are there any beautiful cities in Asia?

Get the Ss to talk about any Asian city they know.

(2)Show a picture of Bangkok.Ask:Do you know this city?

Yes,it’s Bangkok.It’s the capital of Thailand.

What do you know about Bangkok?

(3)Yindi is talking about his home town-Bangkok to his class.Let’s listen to his talk and answer the questions.

6.Listening B

(1)Get the Ss to read through the questions.above first.

(2)Play the recording for the Ss to listen and tick out the true answers.

(3)Play it again for the Ss to listen once again,with the books open.

(4)Check the answers in class.

(5)Deal with some useful expressions or difficult sentences.

7.Homework

(1)Group work. try to find more about Thailand,for example the famous scenic areas,the traditional festivals,etc.

(2)完成练习册内相关练习。

第4课时 Language

一、教学内容:

Practice-based,启发学生,归纳语言知识,开展各层次、强化性和综合性练习,多种技能结合训练,以练为主。

二、教学目标:

1.帮助学生理解并正确运用专有名词。

2.引导学生发现并归纳出连词and,but,so的意义与用法,并能在模拟交际中正确运用这三个连词。

3.培养学生探究学习、合作学习、自主学习的能力。

三、教学环节设计:

1.Revision—Talk Bar

Check the assignment the day before.Get some Ss to talk about Thailand,such as the traditional festival,the food,etc,

2.Grammar learning---Proper nouns

(1)Let the Ss read a short passage about the Water-Sprinkling Festival(泼水节)in Thailand,and try to find out the answers to 2—3 questions.(Help the Ss to understand the passage.)

(2)Get the Ss to pay attention to the words with capital letters.Help them to find out the usages of Proper nouns.

3.Practice

(1)Find out the differences(Ex.a1)

(2)Get the Ss to give more examples.

(3)Finish Ex.A2.

4.Learning B------Using and, but and so

(1)Get the Ss to read the passage about the Water-Sprinkling Festival again and pay attention to the conjunctions:and,but,so.Help them find out their usages.

(2)Let the Ss make their own sentences with each of the three conjunctions.

(3)Get some Ss to report their sentences to the class.

(4)Practice:Ex.B…Fill in the blanks with and, but and so.

5.Competition(Optional)

Have a competition between boys and girls.(要求一方说一个简单句,另一方立即对上下半句,且要用上连词and,but或so来连接,在规定时间内对得上,且句意通顺合理的得分。)

6.Homework

(1)故事大王比赛…Get the Ss to find at least five proper nouns and make up a short story with them,using and, but and so.(收齐后张贴出来,让全班同学评比,评出前五名,准备进入决赛。)
